Weight Management

         Need to lose weight, get

healthier, and feel better?

This can be achieved with medications designed to safely and effectively help you lose weight. In addition to helping you make better food choices, implementing small changes that lead to lifetime habits, and tracking your results, we can help you reach weight loss and health goals.

 Medications:

Semaglutide is a Glucagon-like-Peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist and Tirzepatide is a GLP-1 receptor agonist and a glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide. Both medications are administered once weekly by injection into the thigh, stomach, or upper arm. These medications work by:

+Suppressing your appetite by delaying gastric emptying. This helps you feel full longer and reduce calorie intake.

+Regulates insulin and blood glucose imbalance which helps improve glycemic control (reduced A1C).

+Can lead to a reduction in systolic blood pressure, cholesterol and triglycerides and decrease risk of cardiovascular disease.

Some potential side effects of these meds can be nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, and constipation. Side effects often diminish within the first month and can be diminished with a gradual dose escalation. Typically doses are escalated monthly based on effectiveness and side effects.
